The Many Uses of Ivory

I received a bar of Ivory soap in my June Mom Voxbox from Influenster.  I have used Ivory before when I was a child, so the light airy scent brought back lots of fond memories.  But this time around I used my bar for a science project and for, well, SOAP!  LOL

I had been seeing the Microwave project on Pintrest for a while and had been wanting to try it, but never thought to buy a bar of Ivory while at the store.  I was happy to see that one was included in my box.  So, the first thing I did, I cut off a little piece, placed it on a microwave safe plate and put it in the microwave.  And to my astonishment, it worked!

After it cooled, my kids had a hay day playing in the flakey "SNOW"

On the other side, using it as an actual SOAP is even better.  I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin.  I live in AZ, so it gets extremely dry here and I always get this red, itchy rash around my inner thighs, sides of my torso and my inner arms.  Harsh soaps irritate it, so I was glad that Ivory was included.  It allows me to clean these areas without irritating it further.  I think you get what you pay for with Ivory, and it's one of the cheapest on the market!!!!  :)  Thanks Influenster and Ivory for including this in the June Mom Voxbox and bringing back memories of my childhood!
