Tastykake® Kandy Bar Kakes.....Could Be Dangerous....FOR MY WAISTLINE

I received my 2013 Spring Fever Voxbox for free to test from Influenster today.  I got all sorts of goodies, but the Tastykakes really stood out.  According to the included card, "Tastykakes are light and fluffy chocolate enrobed cakes with a delicious creme filling in a unique kandy bar shape.  Available in S'mores, Peppermint and Peanut Butter ($4.49 per box)".

The Tasty Baking Company, founded in 1914 and located in Philadelphia, Pa., is one of the country’s leading bakers of snack cakes, pies, cookies, and donuts. As a subsidiary of Flowers Foods, the company has bakery facilities in Philadelphia and Oxford, Pa. that offer more than 100 products under the Tastykake brand name. Celebrated for their freshness and quality ingredients, the Tastykake line includes such classics as Krimpets, Kandy Kakes, Juniors, and Kreamies. First off, the taste was amazing.  It was very chocolatey with just the right amount of peanut butter.  It was made with Reeses Peanut Butter as well, which added a little extra yumminess.  The bar was extremely soft, and the outer chocolatey layer was very flakey and good.

There was only ONE downside to these...they could be extremely dangerous for my waistline.  Coming in at a WHOPPING 280 Calories per bar, I kinda feel guilty eating it (But doing P90X later tonight SHOULD take care of that...LOL).  It's defiantly something I could see myself getting into trouble with, but will probably become a once in a while TREAT because they really ARE that good.

YIKES AT THE CALORIES....But oh so good.
